Picture

Children's writers are some of the most generous people on the planet, and I am grateful to the many writers who have helped me, and still help me, on my writing journey.

Let me help you.

I am a proud member of the Nonfiction Ninjas, the Society of Children's Books Writers and Illustrators
, the Rochester Area Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, and on the creative team behind NF FEST, the only month-long, online celebration of writing and illustrating children's nonfiction.

I am also the co-author of ANATOMY OF NONFICTION: WRITING TRUE STORIES FOR CHILDREN, with Margery Facklam (Writer's Institute Publications, 2011).

Rachel Burk has put together a lengthy list of resources here.

NF FEST -  www.nffest.com.- a month-long celebration of the art and craft of writing nonfiction stories for children. A collection of blog posts from the top names in kidlit.
